BIO-BASED STUDENT RESEARCH PROJECT

A design and research project developed with London Metropolitan University and Margent Farm, led by David Grandorge and Paloma Gormley (Material Cultures). Designed and built by a group of 14 graduate students, the 323 sq ft (30 m²) studio explored low-carbon construction through a palette of hempcrete, timber, wood fibre and hemp-based cladding. As a graduate student on the project, my role included material research, exploring local supply chains, and hands-on participation in the construction.
