Philomena leads Studio Entire as creative director and integrator, drawing on over a decade of experience across architecture, interiors, sustainable design, construction technology, and natural materials. Her work connects contemporary architecture with the quiet intelligence of local materials, traditional building knowledge and craft, and innovative construction techniques. She develops the overarching concept and brings every collaborator, system, and small decision into one considered whole.
She has worked internationally across Germany, the UK, Spain, and the U.S., and holds degrees in Architecture from Technische Universität Darmstadt (Germany) and London Metropolitan University (UK), as well as an advanced Civil Engineering degree in Sustainable Design and Construction from Stanford University (U.S.). Besides leading Studio Entire, she is currently collaborating with Verdant Building Products on the commercialization and scaling of a proprietary bio-based thermal insulation system.
Working with us
We take on a small number projects each year, from ADUs and kitchen remodels to whole custom homes, garden studios, hospitality spaces, and custom elements. Whatever the scale, we take a thoughtful, collaborative approach to design, considering how things are made and going to be used, where materials come from, and how they perform and endure. We also work alongside architects, developers, builders, manufacturers, and other organizations, bringing our design perspective to projects that benefit from a more integrated approach.
